The Impact of Third Generation ADP on Decisionmaking.

Abstract

The study examines whether or not third generation ADP has impacted significantly upon management decisionmaking. Third generation characteristics were defined and in the process it was noted that no one definition is generally accepted. Decision processes were examined and standard decision steps identified. It was found that third generation characteristics, per se, have had no significant impact upon decisionmaking.. However, ADP use in combination with management science tools have found wide acceptance to improve evaluation of alternative decisions. (Modified author abstract)
