The Degradation of Light Output from Runway Centreline Fittings.
Abstract
Measurements have been made to sample the performance of inset runway centreline lights and these showed substantially lower intensities than were expected. This prompted an investigation to identify the reasons for the degradation so that their effect could be combated by choice of suitable forms and frequency of maintenance. The report describes this work.
