Abstract
Two methods for colorimetrically analyzing trace amounts of N,N'-di-t-butylethylenediimine (CS 815799) are presented: the 3-methyl-2-benzothiazolinone hydrazone hydrochloride (MBTH) and 4,5-dihydroxynaphthalene-2,7-disulfonic acid, disodium salt (chromotropic acid). The MBTH method is recommended because of its simplicity, speed, sensitivity, and specificity. (Modified author abstract)
