The TOW-SHILLELAGH Congressional Issue; 1969-1970.

Abstract

The issue examined is between the Congressional position to substitute a converted SHILLELAGH program for the TOW heavy antitank weapon program and the Army position to continue the TOW program. The chronology relates the major actions that transpired at the Department of Army staff level and in Congressional Hearings between August 1969 and September 1970. (Modified author abstract)
