Programmable Acoustic Signal Processing Devices.

Abstract

The objective of this program is to develop advanced programmable signal processing devices which employ surface acoustic wave tapped delay lines and integrated control circuits. The effort includes the design, fabrication and evaluation of an electronically programmable waveform generator and matched filter for > or = 100 chip biphase coded spread spectrum waveform at a frequency of 435 MHz with a 20 MHz chip rate. The initial design tasks on both the surface acoustic wave tapped delay line and the microelectronic integrated control circuits have been completed and the results are detailed in the following sections. Photomask design and fabrication for the final devices are underway. (Author)
