Global Small-Scale Mapping of the Moon (Globalnoe Melkomasshtabnoe Kartirovanie Luny),

Abstract

The 1:5,000,000 full map of the moon and the 1:10,000,000 lunar globe were compiled by the Shternberg Institute together with the topogeodetic service of the USSR. The full map of the moon is intended for the solution of a series of scientific problems connected with the investigation of the moon and the distribution of formations on its surface. The navigational projection of the map makes it possible to use it for plotting the paths of trajectories of artificial lunar satellites and for planning space experiments.
