Model of Schizophrenia in Animals,

Abstract

A schizophrenia model is obtained by administering metamphetamines to monkeys. Eleven male monkeys exhibited the classic symptoms of schizophrenia, including fingering of parts of the body and staring into space. These symptoms had never been displayed by lower animals before this experiment. (Author)
