Productivity of the Barents Sea Coast (Produktivnost Pribrezhya Barentseva Morya),
Abstract
Detailed investigations of the Murmansk littoral zone were made for a five-year period by the Murmansk Biological Station to determine the biological productivity of the region for possible further commercial exploitation. More efficient use of existing marine biological resources was discussed, such as developing managed, cultivated marine farms. Exploitation of marine resources of regions further removed from the Barents Sea coast was discussed. (Author)
