Characteristics of White Whale Migration toward the Coast (Kharakteristika Podkhoda Belukhi k Beregram),
Abstract
Data on white whale (beluga) sightings and catches along the west coast of Kanin Peninsula (Tarkhanov region) in 1955-1958 and off southern Novaya Zemlya in 1957 are used to identify the relation between food supply (fish), seasonal temperatures, tidal phase and beluga migrations. (Author)
