Turbine Engine Diagnostic Development.

Abstract

Turbine engine diagnostic development was continued, and included testing on a TF30-P-408 turbofan engine at sea level static and ram conditions. The Phase I computer program was restructured, using new mode recognition logic and adding thermodynamic performance analysis. New hardware tested included a radiation pyrometer, internal accelerometer, charged particle probe, and a programmable cathode ray tube display. Fifty parameters were monitored and a total of 90 diagnostic messages were programmed and demonstrated. (Author)
