SAPGOA - A Computer Program for the Simultaneous Adjustment of Photogrammetric and Geodetic Observations.

Abstract

The primary function of the program SAPGOA is to perform analytical aerotriangulation by the method of simultaneous weighted least-squares adjustment. It has the unique capability of using geodetic measurements as controls in the aerotriangulation solution. The program can accept as input the following types of observations: (1) photogrammetric observations: rectangular photo coordinates corrected for lens and film distortions, exterior orientation parameters of each photo, aircraft altitude above ground at each exposure, and ground controls in a rectangular ground coordinate system; and (2) geodetic observations: straight-line distances, geodetic azimuths, Laplace azimuths, horizontal angles, elevation differences, latitudes, longitudes and elevations. The geodetic measurements do not have to form an integrated geodetic network. (Author)
