FY 73 Hydraulic Ram Studies.

Abstract

A report is made on the progress of FY 73 hydraulic ram studies. Preliminary analytical and experimental studies of the shock and cavity phases of hydraulic ram have been made to add to basic understanding of the fluid-structural interactions. The work should contribute to the understanding of the hydraulic ram phenomenon and provide useful information for designing survivable fuel tanks in aircraft. (Author)
