Improvement of Science Management,

Abstract

In the Russian Soviet Federated Socialist Republic scientific research in the areas of medicine and public health is carried out at 68 research institutes and 40 institutes of higher learning. More than 20,000 professional and teaching personnel, among which 1,500 are Doctors of Science and 9,000 Candidates of Science, are occupied with this scientific effort. The attention of medical scientists in the Russian Federation is directed to broadening of scientific research concerning hygiene problems, development of new methods of medical treatment of cardio-vascular pathology, malignant new growths, prophylaxis and medical treatment of the most prevalent diseases of children and other urgent problems.
