Vibrational Energy Exchange of the DF(v = 2) State with DF(v = 0).

Abstract

The energy transfer rate for the reaction DF(v = 1) + DF(v = 1) = DF(v = 0) + DF(v =2) was studied in a combined shock-tube laser-induced fluorescence experiment at temperatures from 295 to 720K. The rate coefficient for the exothermic reaction was found to vary as 1/T when expressed in units of cc/mole . sec. (Modified author abstract)
