Improved Space-Time Reference Systems for Use on Rocket Sled Track.

Abstract

Two space-time reference systems are presented in the report. The first system uses a coaxial cable with periodic open slots installed along the track and the second system uses a reflecting ribbon etched with non-reflecting pattern. Both systems are capable of measuring tracked sled velocity with more than one order of magnitude improvement over the present light interrupter system. (Author)
