An Investigation of the Stability of the Operation of Radial Burners with Porous Refractory Heads,

Abstract

The mechanism of flashback through a porous head was explained on the basis of the theory of thermal shock. The connection between the critical temperature of the combustion surface of the porous head and the specific gas consumption and the diameter of the grains in the head was established. The limits of the stable operating modes of burners with porous refractory heads were determined.
