Abstract

The article discusses an instrument which instantaneously seeks out the finest flaws on the surface of articles. Its operating principle is based on excitation of eddy currents in the monitored section. The article also discusses a television X-ray introscope which converts X-radiation into light radiation and transmits it to a television screen. A part which is placed in the instrument is illuminated and the picture of internal defects in the metal appears on the screen; all of its internal 'diseases' are visible - shrinkage defects, cracks, etc.
