Development of Equipment and Techniques for Pneumatic Application of Portland Cement Mortar in Shallow Patches.

Abstract

A practical device for pneumatic application of mortar in shallow patches has been developed. The device is easily assembled from readily available material, has only a few critical dimensions, and can be operated by personnel without extensive training. The patches produced bond well to the existing concrete, and should have excellent durability. The patches can be finished with customary tools and should match existing concrete well enough to provide a pleasing overall appearance.
