Theoretical Study of the Effective Polarizability of Adsorbed Molecules on Metal Surfaces.
Abstract
Atoms adsorbed on a metal surface acquire an induced dipole moment. An argument is presented which leads to a new mechanism responsible for these induced dipole moments. (Author)
