Numerical Analysis and Scientific Applications Programming Report.

Abstract

The report is presented to give a description of the numerical analysis and scientific applications programming support offered to Air Force Scientists engaged in basic research in the environmental sciences. The scope of problems reported both in the particular discipline supported and the type of support rendered is quite broad. Typically, theoretical nuclear studies involving numerical calculations of complicated double and triple integrals are contrasted to magnetic tape manipulation of countless experimental rocket-sampled data in electric field studies. The duration of support is just as varied and lasted anywhere from a few days to many months. Therefore, some of the problems reported upon are completely analysed while others have reached various degrees of evolution toward a complete final resolution. (Author)
