Development of a Disposable Ashtray.

Abstract

The disposable ashtray was designed to provide a safe and convenient means for litter patients to dispose of cigarettes while in aeromedical airlift aircraft. A prototype ashtray was fabricated in-house. Commercial models were procured and successfully completed development test and evaluation. The Military Airlift and Tactical Air Commands performed operational test and evaluation. Modifications were recommended and incorporated into a second prototype which was accepted by both commands.
