Computer Simulation of Error-Correcting Codes.

Abstract

The purpose of the thesis is to examine the error correcting ability of error-correcting codes on real communication channels. Topics discussed include the following: Bounded distance decoding; interleaved codes; error control coding based on majority-logic decoding; Reed-Solomon codes; and, diffuse threshold-decoded codes.
