Research into Intellective Load Carrying Capacity

Abstract

The logic for a set of studies into the determination of the intellective load carrying threshold for various mental functions is described. The logic calls for progressively increasing the difficulty of scaled, factorially based cognitive items to which the subject must respond, while the subject simultaneously performs a tracking task. Changes in three components of the 'human transfer function' are employed to measure the intellective load carrying threshold along a cognitive difficulty continuum. Progress in the development of the required stimulus presentation, data recording, and data analytic equipment is described along with a description of the function of the system and its related software.
