The Weathering of Plastics Materials in the Tropics. 1. Polycarbonate.

Abstract

A single injection-moulding grade of unstabilized polycarbonate was exposed to outdoor weathering for periods of up to 4 years, on two tropical sites in Australia and one temperate site in the UK. Dimensional and visual changes and certain mechanical and electrical properties were monitored in order to follow changes due to weathering.
