Variation of the Electroretinogram during Adaptation.
Abstract
A pulsed Argon laser was used as a stimulus to evoke the electroretinogram of the rabbit eye. The characteristics and changes in the electroretinogram were examined for different stimulus intensities and for various levels of adapting or background light. The adapting light was produced by a continuous Argon laser. The parameters of the electroretinogram, namely, the amplitudes and latencies of the a-wave and b-wave, were used to characterize the variations of the electroretinogram. (Modified author abstract)
