Ultrastructure of Arthropod Sensory Structures.

Abstract

Studies are reported on the ultrastructure of selected organ systems of ticks and mites. Scanning and transmission electron microscopy have been used to investigate in detail the nature of these systems. These investigations are designed and executed to contribute to a better understanding of the abilities of ticks to find hosts, to survive in nature and to transmit diseases to man.
