Relation Eduction Index Norms for 1,000 Word Pairs and 8 Relations: College Sample.

Abstract

Along with vocabulary level and type of relation, relation eduction frequency is identified as a potentially important determiner of verbal analogy item difficulty. The report presents relation eduction frequency data on 1000 word pairs and eight relations. The data are expressed in terms of the percentage of a group of subjects who educe the given relation in the given word pair (the relation eduction index, or REI). (Author)
