A Study of the Impact of Consolidation upon the Navy Supply System.
Abstract
The study examined the impact of consolidation upon the Navy supply system. Consolidation was investigated for varying situations and policies. The affect of consolidation was viewed in terms of the resulting cost reductions relative to the cost of the present storage and transportation system, the facilities used in the consolidated system, and the necessary output capacities of these facilities.
