Experimental Measurement of Oscillator Strengths in Neutral Xenon using the Roschdestvenskii Hook Method.

Abstract

Experimental measurements were performed of selected transitions between the two lowest excited levels in xenon gas, the 6s-6p' blue transitions. Interference fringe patterns produced by a Mach-Zehnder interferometer, with the electrically excited xenon in one beam, are analyzed spectrally in an attempt to obtain relative f-values.
