Grid-Characteristic Method of Calculating Plane and Axisymmetrical Supersonic Two-Phase Flows,

Abstract

Two-phase flows in ejector devices (nozzles and ejectors) and in bladed machines (turbines) have gained increasing interest on the part of researchers. In addition to one-dimensional calculation methods for supersonic plane and axisymmetrical two-phase flows, exact numerical methods have also been developed. Most studies have been based on the usual method of characteristics, but computer programs based on this system are generally complex from the logic standpoint. For this reason it is desirable to develop a system which is the reverse of the characteristics method which has simple logic.
