The Crystal and Molecular Structure of a Novel Bimetallocarborane Anion.

Abstract

The bimetallocarborane, ((C2H5)4N)(eta-C5H5)-Co-C2B8H10-Co-C2B8H10), which was prepared by the polyhedral expansion of 1,6-C2B8H10 at -80 degrees, was studied by single crystal diffraction techniques and NMR. Molecular and crystal structure are discussed.
