Exfoliative Dermatitis and the Hepatorenal Dysfunction Induced by Hypersensitivity to Chloromycetin. Reconstruction of Severed Fingers,

Abstract

A case is documented for reference. The second paper discusses several surgical methods used to reconstruct 38 fingers for 25 patients who severed or damaged their fingers. The methods of reconstruction were: tube and bone graft were used on 16 fingers; the metacarpus was modified for two fingers; four fingers were transplanted; and six toes were transplanted to the hands. The other cases involved composite tube graft or tube and bone graft combined with metacarpus modification. Among the 38 fingers, preliminary reconstruction was done on 14 during the dressing of the wounds.
