Generation and Detection of Coherent and Incoherent Electromagnetic Radiation.

Abstract

The report briefly reviews research areas which were supported by this contract. Included are: Research and development of tunable coherent light sources, picosecond laser pulses, laser pulse measurement and mode locking theory, techniques for submillimeter generation and detection, development of gamma-ray telescopes, infrared detection, theoretical studies of gamma-ray optics, and experimental studies in vacuum UV, X-ray and gamma-ray optics.
