Evaluation of U.S. Diver's Corp. - Pressure Indicator Stationary Gauge.

Abstract

The report covers the evaluation of U.S. Diver's Corp. Pressure Indicator Stationary Gauge (Cat. No. 1755) to determine the degree of accuracy and mechanical features. The gauge is a colored disc system and covers the pressure range from 500-2000 psi. The gauge was installed on an Aqua-Lung manifold, and given extensive bench tests followed by subjective swimming runs under increasing conditions of fouling hazard. Bottle pressure could be reasonably estimated either by sight (color of discs exposed) or by feel (counting number of discs exposed). The gauge is considered a useful, simple tool and is recommended for field evaluation. (Author)
