Departure from LTE (Local Thermodynamic Equilibrium) in an Oxygen Plasma. II. Collisional-Radiative Model,

Abstract

A collisional-radiative model of a decaying oxygen plasma is constructed in order to characterize the visible and infrared emission as a function of electron density and temperature. All collisional and radiative processes affecting the population of the O(I)(quartet S)nl levels up to principal quantum number 18 are included in the model. Some results are given.
