Conference on Cutaneous Communication Systems and Devices Held at Monterey, California on April 17-18, 1973.

Abstract

The book reports the content of a conference held at Monterey, Calif., on April 17-18, 1973 to examine the current state of the art in cutaneous communication, describe research efforts in this field, identify operational applications and users, and evaluate areas of pressing importance for future research. A total of 16 papers was presented, in emphasis divided as follows: Critical Dimensions of Cutaneous Communication; stimulation technology; operational applications; summary. Appendices contain a list of conferees and a table of type of cutaneous communication systems and devices, together with a bibliography of 34 titles. The Preface sets the stage for the two-day conference. (Author)
