Abstract

A glossary of basic ecology terms commonly encountered in the field of coastal engineering. The terms are applicable to, but not necessarily restricted to, marine and freshwater environments of the coastal zone. Terms are cross-referenced and defined in nontechnical language for use by nonecologists. (Author)
