A Study of Electrostatic Spray Application of Power Coatings for Possible Military Usage.

Abstract

Electrostatic spray application of powder coatings was studied for possible military usage. Commercial epoxy, polypropylene, polyester, acrylic and polyterephthalate materials were evaluated for physical properties such as flexibility, adhesion, resistance to water immersion, accelerated weathering and salt spray exposure. Some were found to be generally comparable to the comparison solvent type coatings. (Author-PL)
