Integrated Battlefield Control System (IBCS) Division Level System Definition (Staff Organization and Procedures, 2D Refinement) Study. Volume IX. Appendix Q. Division Tactical Standing Operating Procedures (2d Refinement).

Abstract

The Standing Operating Procedure (SOP) establishes regular procedures for the conduct of combat, combat support, and combat service support operations of the division and will apply in the absence of specific instructions to the contrary. These procedures are prescribed for all organizations assigned or attached to this headquarters for tactical operations. Commanders of major subordinate commands and chiefs of general and special staff sections will prepare internal SOP to support and implement this SOP. Major subordinate commands, as used in this SOP, are defined as brigades, division artillery, support command and separate battalions/squadrons.
