Advanced Development Work Resulting in Inventory Management (IM) Individualized Instruction Materials.

Abstract

The report describes a study to develop prototype individualized instructional materials and identify potential problems for the Inventory Management Course as part of the Advanced Instructional System. Typical course segments and a final block of instruction were selected and instructional materials were developed for these segments. The materials were tried in the classroom by the contractor on an individual basis and then with a group of students. The materials were revised as required. The materials were then tried out on several classes by the Air Force. All students attained all learning objectives. A mean student time savings of 55% was achieved during the AF trials. No major problems were encountered. Student attitudes toward the materials and methods were highly favorable. (Author)
