Configuration and Management Analysis of the Naval Postgraduate School Telephone System

Abstract

The thesis is a study of the telephone system at the Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, California. It describes the facilities available, their current management, and their costs. Potential methods for evaluation of cost-effectiveness are developed and their implementation is explored. The overall conclusion is that greater management control is desirable. Specific recommendations for improvement in this management at national and local levels are offered.
