Vidicon Uniformity

Abstract

Work was done on developing a theory of high beam velocity operation of a vidicon camera tube. Silicon Schottky diode arrays having low barrier heights (e.g. Pd/P-Si) can be used in such tubes as infrared vidicon retinae. The uniformity of the resultant vidicon should be superior to that afforded by other approaches. A theoretical and experimental study of this uniformity was initiated.
