The Results from a Study on the Importance of Weapon System Support to Design Managers and Engineers.

Abstract

It is hypothesized that in the aggregate design managers and engineers do not view product support as being of the same importance as production cost, performance, and schedule in their design of military systems/equipments. The results of a study to determine if this is true are set forth, and the implications of the results are discussed as they relate to the Navy's policy on Integrated Logistic Support. (Author)
