Littoral of Kola Bay (Litoral Kilskogo Zaliva),

Abstract

Investigations conducted in the littoral zone of Kola Bay during 1921-1923 are briefly discussed. The observed results are compared with data given by other researchers. The effects of the type of coast, intensity of surf, composition of bottom, slope, salinity of water and other factors on the composition and distribution of marine fauna and flora are pointed out, listing the major organisms and giving data on the distribution and density of populations.
