Experimental Study of the Insulated Antenna in Relatively Dense Dissipative Media.

Abstract

The purpose of the report is to describe the experimental investigations of insulated monopoles in fresh water and in salt water solutions of varying conductivities. A comparison of results with the predictions of recently developed theory applicable to these antennas is also included. Distributions of current and charge and admittances of insulated monopole antennas of electrical length up to two wavelengths are presented.
