Microwave Semiconductor Devices, Circuits, and Applications.

Abstract

The 1973 Conference covered the following topics: Transistors, where the remarkable new GaAs high-frequency field effect transistors were presented; transferred-electron devices and their applications, where the GaAs (and InP) Gunn and related devices as well as the extremely high-frequency computer logic elements were covered; IMPATT devices, where new high-power (8W) C.W. GaAs devices were shown to have high efficiency (35.5%); and TRAPATT devices that have generated high-pulse powers at high efficiencies.
