Tetra- Versus Tri-Coordinate Structures for Cations of Arylphosphonic Difluorides within a Mass Spectrometer.

Abstract

Mass spectrometric data on metastable ions are presented as evidence that the structure of several arylphosphonic difluoride parent cations can have the trivalent structure (RO-PF2)(+). The inference is that the excited neutral molecule also can and does assume a similar structure. (Author)
