Cobra Window Design Analysis Noeglare Canopy Design
Abstract
The report details the work related to the redesign and modification of the canopy of the Attack Helicopter (AH-1G) to minimize sun reflections and thereby reduce the probability of detection through visual observation. There were two objectives in this effort, namely: Canopy redesign through analysis of directional components of reflections; and computer analysis of the design in a modified version of a special program developed in earlier work entitled 'Cobra Glint Model, AH-1G'.
