Communications Support Requirements (COMSR) Study. Volume I. Main Report and Appendix E.

Abstract

The COMSR study develops communications support requirements for 587 types of units or headquarters contained in the CONAF D+90 force model. These requirements reflect 5 modes of communications - voice, teletype, facsimile, data and video, for the 1980 time frame. The COMSR study established the methodology to be used in deriving COMSR information. The methodology relies upon a scenario and a technique called mission analysis. The COMSR study established the methodology needed to update and revise the COMSR data base (Vol 1 - Final Report). The COMSR data base contains the requirements and other related information needed by the Communications Analysis Simulation Evaluation (CASE) and Simulation Communications-Electronics (SIMCE) computer simulation models. These models are a tool used by communications analysts in communications system design and analysis. (Modified author abstract)
