Evaluation of the Flow and Pressure (Depth) Characteristics of the Old Dominion Constant Mass Flow Oxygen Regulator,

Abstract

A gas regulator designed under Bureau of Ships contract by the Old Dominion Research and Development Corp. is evaluated by laboratory flow runs. The regulator was supposed to deliver constant mass flow in the range of (surface corrected) 0.6 to 1.5 lpm. The regulator was found to be too touchy in setting, unstable in operation, and generally unsatisfactory. Work on the valve has been terminated. (Author)
